For most of my life, I played a game by rules that never felt like my own. I followed the well-worn path society lays out: I went to college, got the degrees, and landed the stable job. On paper, I was a success…
With a Master's in Kinesiology and a career in sports medicine, I was helping people in physical therapy clinics and even had a great job at Delta Airlines. But beneath the surface, a deep conflict was growing.
I was treating pain, but I wasn't getting to the root.
The first real stirrings of my purpose began in high school, when a friend and I took on the “Insanity” program. It was intense, and while my initial motivation was just to get in shape, it sparked a fire in me.
I radically changed my diet and fell in love with the feeling of vibrant health. I saw firsthand how simple choices could transform a person’s well-being, and it proved to me that my passion for health was real.
As I worked with thousands of patients and athletes, I started questioning everything. Why were so many people in chronic pain? The answers weren't in the textbooks…
I realized our food system was broken, and the healthcare system, with its limitations, often prevented me from guiding people to true, foundational healing. I was patching people up, but my soul knew there was a better way.
That knowing become something I could no longer ignore…
I made the radical choice to walk away from my stable career and embark on a five-year journey to understand health from the ground up. I traded clinic rooms for open fields, working on farms, orchards, and agroforestry farms. I wanted to understand how to cultivate food in harmony with nature and our bodies.
This journey was a process of emptying out, of unlearning the world’s conditioning and sitting in the wild silence until I could finally hear my own truth.
The climax of this journey came during a four-day vision fast, alone in nature. Stripped of all distractions, I called out for guidance, for a clear understanding of my path. The answer came not as a voice, but as a profound sense of mission: to lead and inspire a revolution of love and nature reconnection that will positively impact the next seven generations and beyond.
This mission is the heart of my life and my work at Root-2-Nature Wellness. It’s a synthesis of everything I’ve learned: the intricate science of the human body from my formal education, the deep art of listening I honed with patients, the wisdom of the land from my time farming, and the essential masculine skills of vision and commitment I developed with my brothers in The Rising Man Movement.
Today, my life is my business, and my business is my life.
As a guide, mentor, and land steward at the Haven community, I am building the world I want to live in… one where we grow our own food, live in connection with the land, and support each other in our healing.
People who know me often refer to my calm, grounded energy, a quality I cultivate through my deep connection to the Earth. They say they feel safe in my presence, and I believe that’s because my life’s work is to create a space for you to feel safe enough to reconnect with your own inner power.
Through my one-on-one coaching, online courses, and the in-person experiences I’m so excited to be developing, I guide people back to the core pillars of wellness: deep nutrition, deep breathing, restorative sleep, playful movement, and nature connection (AKA Yourself).
This is more than just self-improvement…This is a path of remembrance.
This is about building a body strong enough, a heart open enough, and a spirit connected enough to hold your soul’s true vision. It’s about reclaiming the sovereign, inner knowing that is your birthright.
If you feel a longing for something more real, a deeper connection to yourself, and a clearer sense of why you are here on this Earth at this pivotal time, then you have found a home here.
This is your invitation to begin the journey back to your own nature.
If you feel that call to a more rooted, connected, and purpose-driven life, you are in the right place. This is your invitation to come home to your own nature.
